Suomessa harvemmin käytetään yhdistelmäantibioottihoitoja. Toisinaan niitä kuitenkin käytetään. Seuraavalla sivulla varoitetaan käyttämästä G penisiliiniä yhdessä doksisykliinin kanssa sillä doksi saattaa heikentää huomattavasti penisiliinin tehoa:


PENICILLIN G (in Bicillin) may interact with DOXYCYCLINE

When taken together, doxycycline may decrease the ability of penicillin G to kill bacteria. If this happens, penicillin G will be less effective at fighting an infection. If possible, avoid using doxycycline while taking penicillin G. Ask your healthcare provider about these drugs and this potential interaction as soon as possible.
