Suom.huom. USA:n tapahtumilla on selkeät vaikutukset myös eurooppalaisiin hoitokäytäntöihin, varsinkin kun IDSA:n lääkärit ovat olleet aktiivisia tekemään "yhteistyötä" eurooppalaisten lääkärien kanssa eli pyrkineet vaikuttamaan siihen että heidän näkemyksensä borrelioosista ja sen hoidosta toteutettaisiin myös Euroopassa.

House Passes Lyme Disease Bill

The New Hampshire House has passed legislation that supporters say would make it easier for doctors to treat patients with Lyme disease.
New Hampshire Public Radio?s Dan Gorenstein reports.
Representatives have overturned a Committee recommendation to study the matter.
The legislation prohibits the Board of Medicine from prosecuting physicians for treating patients with long-term antibiotics.
Right now the Centers for Disease Control advise people with Lyme only receive antibiotics for a few weeks.
But bill sponsor Representative Gary Daniels says the House reversed course after so many with Lyme came out in support.
?The Legislature woke up to the fact that we?re number 1 state in incidents of Lyme Disease per capita...we?re talking about lives of New Hampshire citizens.?
Doctors in a handful of other states have lost licenses for treating Lyme patients with antibiotics for months or years.
The legislation now moves to the Senate.
