I, like many was living on a diet of quick & easy to cook foods that were ready
in moments in order that my poor husband, who had been working hard all day,
would not have to set to & cook a complicated meal.
I changed all that after talking to others.
Now i buy purely organic produce. Nothing enters my kitchen that does not class
officially as organic.
Next, i bought a juicer. Three times a day i juice approx 5 veg or fruit &
consume them straight away. I have built up to including strong tasting green
veg which i still have to screw my nose up & gulp down. I am prepared to put up
with the distaste because this has made such a difference in the way i am
feeling.
I now am having live organic yoghurt three times daily, mixed with some type of
fruit & a table spoon of linseed. This has helped my gut improve quite a bit
although it still has some way to go to being what i would describe as normal.
The last thing that has drastically altered my feel toxic is somewhat
controversial although i know a few others who use this method.
Coffee enemas. Gerson's method of detoxing cancer patients on chemo. I was a bit
doubtful about this practice & so i read as much as i could find about the it &
then made up my mind to try it.
I was feeling so desperate & toxic at the time but the morning after my first
coffee enema, i woke for the first time in at least 3 years, without a pounding
headache & feeling of wanting to vomit. Infact, i have not been sick for a few
weeks now which was an almost daily occurence for several years.
I am not suggesting that you all rush out & buy coffee. I think the combined
effect of changing my diet, having no addetives or chemicals other than my meds
being injested & getting my long paralised bowel into some sort of cleansed
state has made me feel quite a bit better.
I think especially for those living in urban areas, the importance of trying to
obtain an organic diet as much as possible is something that they need to
consider.
The only down side to this diet has been cost. There has been a significant
increase in my food bill, however i am prepared to put up with that & make
adjustments to cope with it. For those that are able, it is worth it! Everything
tastes better for a start. I am enjoying food for a change instead of eating
only to survive.
My disabilities & symptoms are many but if just one thing makes me feel a bit
better, then i feel it is worth doing.
